Employees of United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), part of the KBC Group in Bulgaria, jointly with lecturers and students at the Agricultural University in Plovdiv town have planted 250 apple trees of the traditional Bulgarian variety named “Karastoyanka”

United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), part of KBC Group in Bulgaria, will mark this year’s edition of the Earth Hour event with two initiatives.

UBB places a special emphasis on digital security and digital financial literacy among young people in its initiatives, linked to the celebration of the 2026 European Money Week.

Christof De Mil, Country Manager of KBC Group in Bulgaria and Chief Executive Officer of UBB, presented his vision about the role of technologies and innovations and their application in the field of banking during the BANCEE25 – 4th Annual Banking CEE Expo international innovation forum.

On 21-st July there was a dedicated meeting held with representatives of the UBB management and with nearly 30 non-governmental organizations, universities, schools and institutions, during which KBC Group in Bulgaria presented their 2024 Report to Society and the new edition of the Choose to Help donor programme of UBB.

“ESG and energy efficiency in the real estates and construction sectors. Challenges and opportunities” were the topic of the last conference for Y2024 under the Sustainable Future project of 24 Chasa and UBB.
