Payment account with basic features

Payment Account with Basic Features in Bulgarian leva is intended for local and foreign individuals, residing legally in the European Union, to effect payment transactions on the territory of Bulgaria free of charge or against reasonable fees, in compliance with the requirements of the Payment Services and Payment Systems Act.

Advantages

This account type ensures provision of the services, listed in Appendix 1 to Ordinance No3 of the BNB, either free of charge or against payment of acceptable fees, regardless of the number of payment transactions, effected with the account.
Where, at the authorisation of the titleholder, operations are carried out on payment accounts with basic features, including cash withdrawals, no fees shall be payable in respect of such transactions where these are charged against the proceeds of salaries, pensions, social security and social assistance benefits, scholarships for pupils, students and doctoral students. The account with basic features shall be settled free of charge when it is credited with the funds referred to in preceding sentence or when these funds and the interest thereon are kept on this account.

Execution of the following transaction types	The Bank offers opening of a Payment Account with Basic Features (PABF) as per the requirements of the Payment Services and Payment Systems Act, enabling the effecting of payment transactions on Bulgaria's territory either free of charge or against payment of acceptable fees. PABF services in general include depositing and withdrawing of cash, execution of credit transfers and payment card transactions.
