UBB continues the successful reconfiguration of its systems for the adoption of the euro
03 January 2026
All main services – card payments, POS terminals, ATMs, UBB Mobile mobile banking and UBB Online online banking – are working normally.
The clients’ Bulgarian lev accounts were successfully converted and their balances are now in euros. UBB did not charge any fees for this conversion of lev balances. The bank performed the process automatically and free of charge for all its clients, in accordance with the law.
When logging into mobile banking for the first time in the new year, some clients may notice fees that relate to other banking products they use. Such fees are charged as standard at the beginning of the year or month.
It is also possible that some clients may see blocked amounts from the last card transactions made in lev before the New Year as converted. Once these operations are reflected in the “Account Movement” section, clients will be able to check them in detail.
For individual inquiries, clients can contact the Customer Contact Center at 0700 1 17 17, where they will receive information on their question after identification. UBB thanks its clients for their patience and trust in this important moment for Bulgaria and assures them that it is working in a gradual and organized manner to guarantee a smooth and secure transition to the euro.
