UBB's "Utility bills payment” service is a convenient, easy and cheap way to pay your monthly bills for electricity, water, central heating, telephone, cable and digital televisions, Internet, etc., without visiting a branch of the Bank or pay-desks of the respective company.

What is”Utility bills payment” service? The "Utility bills payment” service is the easiest and cheapest way to pay your monthly bills for electricity, water, central heating, telephone, cable and digital televisions, Internet, etc., without visiting a branch of the Bank or pay-desks of the respective company. UBB takes care of your monthly payments by transferring amounts from your current account in BGN or a credit card, for which you provide your consent in advance.

Why use UBB ”Utility bills payment” service? The “Utility bills payment” service provides you with:

  • Convenience - You save time by not visiting pay-desks of utility companies and by not queuing to pay your monthly bills.
  • Planning of payments - Its up to you to choose the number of companies to which you will pay your bills with this service. UBB cooperates with more than 70 utilities companies.
  • Control on bill payments - UBB transfers the due amounts automatically or after your confirmation by phone at 0700 117 17 or by e-banking.
  • Comfort 
    • SMS notification of incoming monthly payables with the respective payment deadline;
    • SMS notification about the actually effected payments to the companies, selected by you;
    • SMS notification about a non-effected payment.
  • Use of a grace period in case of payment by a credit card- Interest is not accrued on paid obligations within 45 days of the payment date (in case of full repayment of the total amount from the latest monthly statement).
  • Payment within the deadline - Each month UBB pays your obligations within the specified deadlines, thus eliminating the risk of having a service suspended due to a forgotten or unpaid bill.
  • Low expenses - Monthly administration fee of BGN 0.50 and a fee of BGN 0,30 for the first six payments during the respective month. All payments within the month after the sixth one are free-of-charge. Important to know: In case of questions just call 0700 117 17. Our operators are at your disposal.

Activation of “Utility Bills Payment” service

  • For UBB clients having a current account in BGN or a credit card: You should call 0700 117 17 or pay a single visit to a UBB branch to fill in a form of consent for using the „Utility Bills Payment” service, indicating the subscriber numbers and the companies to which you will make payments.
  • For UBB clients having a current account in BGN or a credit card, using e-banking: • Fill in a form of consent for using the „Utility Bills Payment” service.
  • For clients having no current account with UBB: • Make a single visit to a branch of UBB. • Present an ID document. • Fill in a form of consent for using the „Utility Bills Payment” service, indicating the subscriber numbers and the companies to which you will make payments.

Payment at ATMs

Payment of utility bills at an ATM, as follows: 
  • Fixed and mobile phones -  M-Tel, Telenor and Vivacom
  • Electricity – CEZ
  • Water supply – Sofiyska voda
  • Installments for voluntary pension insurance – Doverie Pension Assurance Company
  • Select Other services – Payment of services from the initial screen, then select the relevant company. Payment of utility bills can be made with all debit and credit cards, issued by UBB (excluding OK cards) and with Maestro cards, issued by other Bulgarian banks.
UBB does not collect fees from the cardholders for the effected transactions.
Payment of obligations to M-Tel:
  • Payment of monthly bills - Identification is performed by inputting a 10-digit telephone number beginning with 0 or a 12-digit number of a service (for subscribers of NON-mobile and packaged services by M-Tel), as well as by entering a four-digit personal (PIN) code indicated in the M-Tel invoice. 
  • Recharging a pre-paid card - Identification is performed by inputting a telephone number. Virtual vouchers have a nominal value of BGN 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60. 
  • Increasing a guarantee deposit - Identification is performed by inputting a telephone number.

Payment of obligations to Telenor:
  • Payment of monthly bills - Identification is performed by inputting a nine-digit subscriber number. 
  • Recharging a pre-paid card - Identification is performed by inputting a telephone number. Virtual vouchers have a nominal value of BGN 5, 15, 25 and 40. 
  • Increasing a guarantee deposit - Identification is performed by inputting a telephone number.

Payment of obligations to Vivacom:
  • Payment of monthly bills for a mobile and/or fixed phone - Identification is performed by inputting a client number with the company, comprising:
    • 7 or 8 digits for subscribers of mobile services;
    • 11 digits for subscribers of fixed services.

Payment of obligations to:
  • Doverie Pension Assurance Company – Payment of installments for voluntary pension insurance. Identification is performed by inputting the Personal Identity Number of the individual.
  • Sofiyska voda - Payment of monthly bills for water supply. Identification is performed by inputting a ten -digit subscriber number and there is an option for a full or partial payment of the obligation.
  • CEZ* - Payment of monthly electricity bills. Identification is performed by inputting a 12-digit ITN of the subscriber.
    *Registration for payment via direct debit to CEZ cancels the option for making the payment of the obligation at an ATM or at a cash desk.

Online payment through UPAY

UPAY (ubbpay.bg) is UBB AD’s payment gateway for payment of utility bills, taxes, credit obligations and other services. The gateway provides UBB AD clients with electronic access to their monthly card and account statements.


In order to pay a utility bill, a credit obligation or a tax you don’t need to be a client of UBB AD. It is sufficient to have a valid credit or debit card, suitable for online payments. You can make payments through the site with both personal, as well as corporate bank cards.


In order to make a payment you only need to know your subscriber number with the respective company.


Through one card transaction you can pay a random number of utility bills to various companies. 

Steps for utility bills’ payment:

  • Choose the payment type and the particular company.
  • A page for the selected company will open.
  • Enter the subscriber number with the particular company.
  • Add the bill for payment via Add for payment button or cancel it via Cancel button.
  • If you want to add a new bill for payment, select the respective company and repeat the steps.
  • If you want to finalize the payment chose the Continue with payment option and click on the Pay button.
  • Review the list with the bills selected for payment and if everything is correct click on the Finish Payment button.
  • Enter your card details in the indicated fields and click on the Confirm button.
  • Upon successful payment the screen will display a receipt with information on the executed payment.
