Substantial investor interest reported for the EuroHorizon 6 programme of DZI. The cut-off time for subscription by customers is being changed to 12.02.2026.

date

09 February 2026

Within only a month’s time the EuroHorizon 6 programme has evolved into one of the most preferred unit-linked products in the portfolio of DZI - the insurer with the longest operating period in Bulgaria, marking its 80th anniversary in 2026.

EuroHorizon 6 is a product, combining the security of Life insurance with the profitability potential of an investment fund*. The programme, which has been created for people, seeking a way to invest their funds at a low level of risk, has attracted the attention of active users aged between 46-65 years, accounting for 60% of the individuals that have invested in it.

There is no surprise that such users are predominantly from larger Bulgarian cities, where financial literacy and usage of insurance and banking products with an investment component grows at a higher pace. The good news being that the interest in the product spans beyond Sofia boundaries and spreads towards Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse and other towns.

Women are the prevailing group that has opted in EuroHorizon 6, being 54% of customers. The thing that makes the programme attractive and a preferred one is that funds are being invested in units of the Optimum Fund World Selection 100-1 - a fund with a fixed start and end dates, which profitability is being bound with the performance of a basket of 30 global companies from key sectors, such as Finance, Construction, Healthcare and Power Engineering.

A key opportunity under the programme is the guaranteed preservation of the net invested amount** at the end of the contract period, as well as an eventual capital gain of up to 50% of it, depending on the performance of the fund. Upon need of early termination, the investor will be paid the value of the investment units held as of the request date, after deducting a surrender fee equaling 5% of the withdrawn amount. Upon early surrender the initial capital protection clause shall not apply.

The most frequently invested amounts up to now are 2500, 5000 и 10 000 euro, as they represent 32% of the sum total of purchased products. 12 February is the deadline, until which those individuals, who are prudent and have strategic thinking in terms of managing their personal and family finance, can take advantage of the EuroHorizon 6 programme.

Additional information on the terms, conditions and opportunities of EuroHorizon 6 is available at any UBB or DZI branch or at www.ubb.bg / www.dzi.bg
