UBB is intensely digitizing its products in favour of customers, saving them visits to a bank branch.
The number of UBB Mobile users has increased by more than 30% since the beginning of the year.
United Bulgarian Bank presented new functionalities in UBB Mobile’s mobile banking including an increase of a pre-approved credit card limit for individuals, a credit calculator, sending feedback. The increase of the credit card limit is performed entirely digitally in real-time mode via the mobile application and it does not require a visit to a branch of the bank, and the customer may utilize the updated loan parameters straightaway. Everything takes place in the updated menu of the mobile application, where customers may find offers specially tailored to their needs or they can quickly and conveniently perform basic active and passive banking operations. The other new functionality they can find in the Requests menu, Credit Calculator, allows them to calculate the installment due for a loan amount they specify. The choice of term and amount can be conveniently changed by moving the slider on the screen, and manual entry is also possible.
One of the new convenient features is the possibility to scan a whole document, as long as it is in PDF format. The customer can share the document with UBB Mobile, scan the IBAN, the amount and the reason, and use the scanned information to make a transfer in BGN. Sending feedback to UBB Mobile has also been added to facilitate users. By sending a message to UBB via UBB Mobile, they can send their opinions and recommendations containing up to 4000 characters. In the mobile application, the Contact Centre connection is displayed in a more prominent and easily accessible location in the More menu.
Almost 20% of the mobile banking users mention that they use it on a daily basis, and the number of UBB Mobile users has increased by more than 30% since the beginning of the year. “The statistics implies the trend for users to seek and use services completely online and on the go. Thus, we have decided not only to follow the trends, but also to initiate such. There are other upcoming innovations in UBB Mobile by the end of the year, which will make the consumer experience entirely digital for basic banking operations”, explained Peter Andronov, Chief Executive Officer of UBB. “Our surveys show that 59% of the mobile banking users pay their utility bills using it, and nearly half of them effect account transactions and pay taxes via their mobile device. We truly believe that the mobile banking has greater untapped potential for fully digital active operations, as long as the consumers are provided with those possibilities. Only then the banks will remain competitive and up-to-date among the rapidly digitizing services of any kind”, he added.
UBB Mobile is a specially designed application for mobile phones or tablets, intended to perform basic banking operations by individuals or companies, as well as to provide general bank information. In the beginning of April UBB announced the new functionality of the mobile banking - multibanking, for the first time in Bulgaria. This innovation enables the Bank’s clients to monitor their accounts’ info, disposable balance, account movements and transaction details with other four banks. A necessary condition for adding a new account is for it to have IBAN number and to be accessible online. In May, UBB Mobile was awarded “Product of the year” in the “Mobile Banking Services” category.
