United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), part of KBC Group in Bulgaria, has launched a new version of its mobile banking app UBB Mobile, which builds on existing digital services and adds new functionalities, aimed at better awareness and management of personal finance. The new 6.4 version of UBB Mobile is now available for download from Google Play, App Store and AppGallery.
UBB has also added a dozen of new municipalities, to which users can pay their local taxes and fees in a fully digital way through UBB Mobile. Among those are Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Kyustendil, Kazanlak, Haskovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Petrich and others. The total number of municipalities, which clients can check and pay local taxes and fees to through UBB Mobile, is 34. The Bank’s clients, who have already used this service, can now find the payments, made by them through UBB Mobile and UBB Online for the last 5 years and download the relevant payment document.
The new version of the mobile banking app offers further improvements. Users can now find that their card transactions have been categorized, thus giving them an opportunity to distinguish their payments into clear and logical categories, such as „Supermarkets“, „Entertainment“, „Health and Beauty“, „Shopping“, „Car Services“, „Hotels and Vacation“ and others. The mobile app automatically categorizes all transactions, made with debit and credit cards, issued by UBB.
Over 2026 UBB will continue developing, implementing new and upgrading its existing digital services in its mobile banking app, which now has more than 1 million active users. The ambition of the Bank - winner of the prestigious awards Best Innovative Bank and the Best Digital Bank for Customers in Bulgaria in 2025 of the reputable international magazine Global Finance - is to constantly improve customer experience, provide a growing number of products and services, linked to the behaviour of customers in a desired and useful way.
