UBB and DZI with four prizes at the PR Prize Awards this year

date

14 July 2020

United Bulgarian Bank (UBB) and DZI, part of the largest bank-assurance group in Bulgaria – KBC Group - were awarded 15 prizes in total, 10 of which first places, in 3 different business and communication competitions over the last 2 weeks.

The consecutive achievements of the Belgian financial group were distinguished at the oldest communication activity competition in Bulgaria – PR Prize. The Group won first place in the Internal Communications category for the TEAM BLUE GOES GREEN project, through which 9 Bulgarian towns obtained 9 new forests and 3290 trees. Those were planted personally by the 3290 Bulgarian employees of КВС Group, each of whom, in exchange for his/her environmental protection activity, had won a tree for their own country. In Sofia UBB and DZI also gave their names to alleys of Sacura trees in that part of the Yuzhen Park, right behind their signature office building – UBB Millennium Centre.

Black Friday 13-th of DZI was distinguished as the best digital campaign, based on an idea and developed by the guts&brainsDDB advertising agency. This is the 3-rd prize for this campaign, as a couple of days earlier it was awarded first place for Best Digital Sales Campaign at the IAB MIXX Awards and first place for Innovation in the PR Sphere at the b2b Media Awards.

DZI has also fought through for the second place in one of the most contested categories – Special Event – for promoting the e-SOS mobile app– joint development of DZI, VIVACOM and Sirma Group.

UBB was distinguished with second place in the Product/Service Communication Campaign category for the Digital Ink project, through which 6 paintings of different artists literally came to life before visitors’ eyes, thanks to the AR technology of the Laboratory for Virtual and Augmented Reality at Sofia Tech Park. The campaign, created on the occasion of launching the multibanking service by UBB, expanded and turned into a sort of a tour, enabling the exhibition’s visiting 19 Bulgarian towns and gathering tens of thousands of spectators.

„KBC Group in Bulgaria definitely gains ground as the most successful bank-assurance group in this country. The resilience and the excellent business results, however, are being built upon through the efforts of every single colleague of ours. I am extremely proud of the fact that the won awards are not only for our products or external events, but also for the internal life, buzzing into the group – exactly that which fills our external image with content every single day. Team Blue confidently marches along its road and I know we are about to conquer even higher peaks!“, commented on the won prizes Peter Andronov, Country Manager of KBC Group for Bulgaria.

The PR Prize competition was held fully online for the first time in its 20-year history. 74 projects competed in 14 categories.
