Dear Partners,

In connection with the introduction of the euro as the official currency of the Republic of Bulgaria from 01.01.2026, we would like to inform you about a necessary update in your virtual POS terminals.

In order to accept card payments on your websites in the new currency, you need to change the currency from ''BGN'' to ''EUR'' in the payment request field of your virtual POS. No other changes are necessary.

For the UPC platform. No other changes are necessary

Please make the change after 00:00 on 01.01.2026 in order to accept payments on your virtual POS terminal after the introduction of the euro.

⚠️ Important:

If the change is not made, the system will not allow accepting payments after the introduction of the euro as the official currency of the Republic of Bulgaria.

For your convenience, we can provide test parameters of the VOPS, in EUR currency.

In case you are using ready-made payment modules and platforms, please contact a representative of the respective platform and specify the way in which the update of the respective module will be made.
