КВС Group Bulgaria is winner of most awards at the B2B Employer Branding competition

A year after the launch of the merger between United Bulgarian Bank (UBB) and CIBANK the new united UBB has won 4 awards during the second edition of the B2B Employer Branding Awards, thus rendering itself the most awarded company at the event. Three of the awards are first places in the respective categories. The insurance company from the Group – DZI – has been distinguished with one prize.
Two of the largest campaigns of UBB, realized in 2018 – UBB Vertical Run and breaking of the Guinness record for the largest number of company employees, simultaneously solving an online quiz – grabbed first-place prizes in the respective categories, as follows: Employer Branding PR Campaign and Employer Branding Event.
Anna Atanasova, Branch Network Director at UBB, has become Team Lead of the Year. This award is in recognition of her successful performance over 2018 and for the enhancement of her team’s spirit.
The corporate culture PEARL, bringing together all employees of КВС Group not only in Bulgaria, has been awarded in the Employer Branding Idea category.
The series of initiatives for bringing together the employees of the Belgian financial group were launched in 2017 with a one-off idea that soon became an excellent example of a successful internal campaign and set the beginning of regular challenges. The most emblematic challenge of Y2018 was the UBB Vertical Run, involving over 300 contestants who raced upwards and downwards the 24 floors of the UBB Millennium Center building. The contest was part of a bigger goal – the employees, clients, partners and friends of KBC Group from 6 countries walked 786 000 kilometers in a symbolic journey to the Moon and back through series of sporting initiatives. Bulgaria contributed with the impressive 125 783 kilometers, ranking it immediately after Belgium and the Czech Republic. These achievements have brought to Bulgaria BGN 145 638, which sum the employees have chosen to donate to 5 campaigns – UBB’s entrepreneurship programme and Junior Achievement, the Bulgarian Christmas, financial literacy lessons, developed jointly with the bCause Foundation, Children with Onco-hematologic Diseases Association, DZI’s History with a Future scholarships.
DZI has won third place in the Employer Branding Event with the first edition of the DZI Velo competitions. Being an insurance company DZI turned its glance to another traffic participant – cyclists. With the aim to popularize sports and to also raise the issue of cyclists’ safety, DZI Velo organized 3 contests in Burgas, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora towns, which attracted over 300 professional and 600 amateur contestants.
B2B Employer Branding Awards aim at assessing and distinguishing companies for their high achievements in the domain of establishing and affirming the image and awareness of their employer brand, promoting innovations in the talent management area and the new successful strategies in the field of human resources.
