KBC’s Country Manager Sustainability Campaign ranked first at PR Prize

The Belgian KBC Group was awarded first prize in the Imagemaking category at the competition for achievements in the communications domain, PR Prize. This award is a recognition of the focused presentation of the sustainability topic by the new Chief Executive Officer of UBB and Country Manager of KBC Group for Bulgaria, Mr. Peter Roebben. Peter Roebben made his debut before the Bulgarian audience at the end of 2021 with series of participations, interviews and publications, dedicated to the commitment of KBC Group to society for combating climate change. His clear vision about the role of the financial group stood out with four major aspects – supporting clients in their green transition, staff commitment to protecting the environment, society’s awareness and interaction with stakeholders, and last but not least – the policies and actions of all companies from the Group for eliminating their negative footprint on the environment by 2050. „The decisiveness of UBB and DZI with our policies and actions in favor of climate met approval and support from various audiences. The message that there is a way to a more sustainable and better future for business and society is clearly resonating with all stakeholders and we at KBC are committed to play our part", said Peter Roebben on the occasion of the award.
UBB and DZI have won the jury’s recognition in other two categories of the PR Prize competition – Internal Communications and Special Event. The award in the Special Event category was in recognition of setting a Guinness record for the largest number of people, simultaneously knocking on wood, organized by DZI on Friday, the 13th, in August last year in front of the national Palace of Culture, as part of its traditionally bold promotional campaigns for Black Friday, the 13th. The same campaign was also awarded with 2 gold prizes at the IAB MIXX Awards 2022 for Creative Efficiency and the Best Engagement Campaign. Thus, DZI grabbed 2 of the 5 gold prizes in total, awarded in all the 19 competition categories after a very meticulous assessment of the demanding jury. DZI’s project, with conceptual design and realization of the guts & brains DDB agency, will be one of the three projects, representing Bulgaria at the IAB MIXX Awards Europe this year.
