The 17-year old immense Bulgarian talent on the global tennis scene, Ivan Ivanov, thanked all for the positive energy obtained. He lost two sets to the 72nd in the world men’s ranking Raphaël Collignon in the last single of the historic for Bulgaria first World Group match of the Davis Cup against Belgium.

"I am grateful for the absolute support to me and to all the boys from the team. Starting from the positive events before the match itself - I personally gathered a lot of positive energy during the entire week. The support of Bulgarian fans has charged me with a lot of energy and over subsequent tournaments I will continue carrying this nice feeling with me", said Ivan Ivanov.

The young and very promising Bulgarian team will participate in a barrage in September for retaining their World Group ranking.

"I am also looking forward to the next opportunity of playing for Bulgaria. It is incredible to feel the support of the Bulgarian audience. I will be happy if I could spark the flame of tennis playing in more Bulgarian children through my performance", added the Wimbledon and US Open champion and No1 Junior Champion in the world for 2025.

Before the historic match of Bulgaria in the World Group for the Davis Cup against Belgium, semi-finalist from the last edition of this tournament, United Bulgarian Bank announced their long-standing support for Ivan Ivanov and Alexander Vasilev, who had become UBB and Mastercard ambassadors.
