UBB welcomed students at a summer internship event, in partnership with leading high schools in Sofia city

11 July 2025
At the beginning of July, we started an inspiring partnership with two prestigious schools in Sofia city - the National High School in Finance and Business and the Sofia Vocational School of Electronics John Atanassov.
Over a two-week period, starting from 1-st until 15-th July, we had the pleasure of being hosts for 22 students from X-th and XI-th grade, who joined our team as interns.
Their internship started with an official welcome at the UBB Head Office in the Millennium Centre building. With the support of the colleagues from Human Resources Management Directorate, the students were acquainted with КВС Group and with all its entities in Bulgaria. We presented to them our history, scope of activities, corporate culture, innovations, sustainable development commitments, as well as basic principles on personal data protection and high-quality customer service.
After the introductory part, the interns from the Sofia Vocational School of Electronics John Atanassov were involved in real project work at IT Deliveries and at IT Infrastructure Directorates. They had the opportunity to get acquainted with the software development processes and with the key aspects of IT security in a financial institution.
The students from the National High School in Finance and Business were split among different banking branches in Sofia. Under the management of experienced mentors, they were engaged in the daily operational work, got acquainted with international and internal banking policies and supported the servicing of customers.
The internship provided participants with a valuable opportunity to obtain initial practical insights from the work in the banking sector, to develop key skills and to navigate their future professional interests.
We would like to thank all colleagues, who shared their experience enthusiastically and with dedication, and who inspired the next generation of professionals in KBC Group.
