UBB AD has won two prizes in this year’s PR 2013 Priz Competition

The Bank has been honored with the special prize of the Confederation of Employers and industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG) and with 2-nd prize in the Corporate PR Campaign category for its “20 Years United in Success” project. 
 
Two prizes have been presented to United Bulgarian Bank AD (UBB AD) in this year’s PR 2013 Priz Competition. The Bank has won the special prize of the Confederation of the Employers and the Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG) and has become winner of the 2-nd prize in the Corporate PR Campaign category, thus gaining the recognition of both the prestigious employers’ organization and the competition’s jury for its “20 Years United in Success” project, which marked the 20th anniversary of the Bank in 2012.

The prizes in the PR Priz Competition were presented last night at an official ceremony at the Grand Hotel Sofia in the capital city. The most successful PR projects in Bulgaria during the past year competed in a total of 13 categories and were assessed by a jury comprising some of the most distinguished PR specialists in Bulgaria, university lecturers and foreign PR experts.

The award in the Corporate PR Campaign category was presented to UBB AD by Mr. Ronald Mincheff, managing director of Edelman Brazil and a member of the 2013 PR Priz jury. The other prize awarded to the Bank, CEIBG’s special prize, was presented by Ms. Irina Yordanova, Projects, Public Communications and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) director at CEIBG.

We are confident that this campaign has not only left a lasting imprint in the minds of our clients and partners but its messages and popularity have reached an extremely large audience” Ms. Anka Kostova, Head of PR and Sponsorship Unit at UBB AD, said upon receiving the awards.

The strategy, developed by UBB AD for celebrating the 20th anniversary materialized the Bank’s intention to share its anniversary and its achievements with all its partners, clients and employees. The overall slogan of the campaign – “20 Years United in Success” - was supported by the messages: “United in Music”, “United in Arts” and “United in Sports”. For several months during the 20th anniversary year the Bank carried out a number of marketing events, projects, related to the corporate social responsibility, as well as many initiatives, aimed at paying tribute to the loyal employees of the Bank and involving them not only in the anniversary celebration but in UBB AD’s overall corporate culture. The culmination of the celebrations was Sofia Rocks 2012 concert, realized with UBB AD’s support. The Bank chose the rock event of the year - the visit of the legendary Guns’n`Roses, for which the music fans in Bulgaria will cherish long-term memories - as one of the key initiatives of UBB’s anniversary celebration.
