UBB presented the big prize of a campaign for credit cards – a brand new electric SUV

United Bulgarian Bank AD (UBB), part of the Belgian financial group KBC, which celebrates its 30-th anniversary in 2022, bestowed the first of its big prizes for the year. It is linked to a finalized  promotional campaign for payments with VISA and Mastercard®-branded credit cards, issued by the Bank.

Hristo Mitkov, attorney-at-law is the lucky one, who has won the prize. He will enjoy the exceptional car Mustang Mach-E, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h within only 3.7 seconds, comparable to that of a super car.

It is with this aim that we have launched a large-scale programme for digitalization of our products - to make clients’ experience better and better.“ commented Tatyana Ivanova, Executive Director of UBB.

UBB is aware that in the dynamic world of digitalization it is extremely important for both merchants, as well as clients to have the opportunity to pay and accept payments in a secure way with minimum efforts. Substantial increase in contactless payments, for which speed is a decisive factor, is being observed both on the global, as well as on the Bulgarian banking market: Non-cash and contactless transactions are faster than ever – from approaching the mobile phone to the POS terminal till the „Successful transaction“ message on its screen - everything happens literally within seconds. It is exactly for this reason that UBB has ensured the use of the digital portfolios Google Pay and Apple Pay for all its cardholders.

Since the month of May in the UBB Mobile app there is already an option for clients to request their credit card directly through the app and receive a reply in real time, without visiting a branch of the Bank. 

This process is unique for the market, because to date it is only UBB that offers a fully digital experience – from digital onboarding of a new client, via account opening and requesting a credit card – fully within the app, without visiting a branch and signing documents on paper. The credit card in UBB Mobile goes with up to 55-day grace period for purchases and 50% reduction of the annual maintenance fee for the next year upon a minimum of 24 transactions made.
