UBB Celebrates its 20th Anniversary with Guns `n` Roses during Sofia Rocks 2012

UBB celebrated its 20th anniversary with an exceptional rock experience under the sounds of the hits of Guns `n` Roses during Sofia Rocks 2012 festival, held on 7 and 8 July at Vassil Levski National Stadium.
Axl Rose and all the musicians of Guns `n` Roses were very flattered by the truly emotional reaction of the audience to each of their hits during their first live in Bulgaria.
The show of one of the most anticipated bands by the Bulgarian fans continued a little more than 3 hours and Axl Rose, known for being late as a rule, surprised both the audience and the promoters by showing up several minutes ahead of schedule. This struck a record for the group during their latest tour.
Axl, usually sparing his words to the audience, was evidently touched and before going off stage shouted out ‘You are amazing, you are really awesome!’.
The biggest rock festival of the year in Bulgaria, SOFIA ROCKS 2012, was part of the events with which UBB marked its anniversary. The participation of world famous groups and musicians, some of whom set foot on a Bulgarian stage for the first time, became possible thanks to the support of the bank for holding the festival.
UBB had chosen the musical rock event of Y2012 also for its 20th anniversary cocktail party. In an exquisite atmosphere the management of the bank welcomed around 500 official guests, among whom some of the stars of SOFIA ROCKS 2012 – the frontmen of Ugly Kid Joe and Sweet Savage: Whitfield and Ray. The excellent view to the stage allowed the guests at the cocktail to indulge in the unique rock performance and to meet some of their idols.
UBB has been a traditional sponsor of initiatives and campaigns aimed at protecting the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage, a sponsor of cultural and musical events, sports federations and separate tournaments, as well as events, organized for kids.
