UBB customers can now pay for parking in a blue or green zone directly through UBB Mobile. The new service has been developed by the National Card and Payment Scheme, part of BORICA, and is available to all users of UBB Mobile. It offers a convenient and modern way of parking management with no need of sending SMS, searching of signboards or use of other platforms.

 „For quite some time UBB Mobile is not just a banking app, but an overall digital assistant in the daily lives of our customers – with functionalities for payment of utility bills, purchase of electronic vignettes, conclusion of motor insurances, payment of taxes, and now - with a new functionality added, for parking in a paid zone. Thus our business customers have in their pockets and in just a few clicks away a large range of non-banking and non-financial services, through which we save them time, make their daily activity easier, by offering them maximum security and convenience.“, said Tatyana Ivanova, Executive Director Digitalization, Data and Operations at UBB and Innovation Leader of KBC Group for Bulgaria.

In UBB Mobile customers can pay their parking without additional fees, with automatic zone detection, if they share their location in the app. Payment is intuitive and easy, as first of all users should choose Paid Zone Parking service, enter the vehicle data, indicate the parking time and choose the account with UBB, from which they would like to make the payment.

There is an additional advantage - no payment at regular intervals is required – and the customer may freely choose the parking duration in accordance with the maximum admissible time for parking in the chosen zone. Also, the new service enables payment of parking in a paid zone for another person and saves the entered licence plate numbers for future use.

UBB Mobile reminds with a notification prior to expiry of the paid parking time, enables its extension and warns if the user tries to pay for parking outside business hours of a particular zone. Thus, the possibility for errors and unnecessary expenses for customers is being eliminated.

Upon its launching the new service covers 24 towns in cities in Bulgaria – Sofia, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Ruse, Sliven, Kardzhali, Pazardzhik, Botevgrad, Silistra, Yambol, Razlog, Gabrovo, Dupnitsa, Asenovgrad, Bansko, Nessebar, Balchik, Pomorie, Primorsko, Sunny Beach, Chirpan, Hissarya, Kiten, St. Constantin and Helena resort, and over the next months their number is expected to increase.
