UBB Mobile welcomed its One Millionth customer

The biggest bank in terms of assets in Bulgaria welcomed its One Millionth customer of its mobile app - UBB Mobile. The crossing of the psychological barrier of 1 million people using the mobile app is indicative of the digitalization pace, the customers’ trust and the convenience they obtain when using the vast range of services in UBB Mobile. UBB informs that over the last 5 years fund transfers via UBB Mobile exceed BGN 40 billion in terms of value and 35 million in terms of number. Since the beginning of 2025 transferred funds on a solo basis exceed BGN 11 billion in terms of value and 9.5 million in terms of number of transfers. The mobile app has attracted deposits of over BGN 122 million and served the Bank’s customers for the granting of loans in amounts exceeding BGN 357 million.
Along with that the UBB Mobile app is being used by customers also for purchasing services, not directly related to banking, as according to the UBB data 91.1% of travel insurance policies, concluded over 2025, have been made via the app, thus rendering it the most convincing insurance agent for this service. 64.1% is the share of Comfort for Home insurance policies, also concluded via UBB Mobile. The app becomes an increasingly preferred channel for payment of utility bills, as on an average monthly basis in 2025 UBB customers make over 500 000 payments of utility bills - predominantly for electricity, water and telecommunication services. UBB Mobile has become an increasingly popular channel for purchasing electronic vignettes, payment of local taxes and fees, effecting of instant blink P2P transfers and others.

UBB Mobile is a mobile app, integrating a vast range of products and services, while enabling along with that a high level of personalization on the part of customers. The app has achieved a 19% growth in customers over a 1-year period. More than 95% of the interactions with the Bank’s customers and 97% of all payments are being made in a digital way. One mobile user in UBB registers 24 logins in the mobile app per month on average. UBB Mobile also generates 80% satisfaction with customers and ranks among the Top 3 apps in the Finance category in the app stores of Google and Apple. An additional advantage for UBB customers using the Bank’s mobile app is the digital assistant Kate, who is becoming a main channel for communication and servicing UBB customers. It is only over 2025 that the smart assistant has held nearly 3 million conversations with more than 760 000 customers, has sent over 5.5 million notifications, and her autonomy reaches 70%.
On the occasion of the One Millionth customer UBB’s present was a dedicated concert of Lyubo Kirov - a Bulgarian pop music legend. The concert gathered customers of the Bank, who are regular users of UBB Mobile. The event stage also welcomed customer No 1 000 000 - Lucia Bonova- who received a special award from Christof De Mil, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.
