UBB reports a profit figure of BGN 205.7 m.

The gross profit for 2007, generated by UBB after provisions and before taxes, amounts to BGN 205.7 m. As compared to 2006, the Bank has increased its profit by BGN 47.1 m. or by 29.7%.

The Bank reports an impressive assets’ growth of 54.7 %, reaching a total amount of more than BGN 6.1 bn. More than 80 % of these are loans to corporate clients and individuals, as the growth against the end of 2006 is respectively 93.7 % and 69.3 %.

The key factors for all these achievements have been the aggressive lending policy, the continuing expansion of the branch network and the alternative distribution channels, as well as the constant offering of new banking products and services with fast client access and high service quality.

For 2007 the achieved return on the average annual equity (ROАE) has reached 28.6%, while the return on the average annual assets (ROАА) - 3.9 %, as these indicators have ranked UBB among the best financial institutions according to the internationally adopted standards. The efficiency indicator (cost/income ratio) of 37.8% has once again proved the exceptionally high financial and operating efficiency of the Bank.
